Welcome To The Dollhouse is by far one of my most favorite movies.

It’s about an unattractive and unpopular 7th grader with only one younger male friend, Dawn Wiener (played by Heather Matarazzo) who lives in a middle class suburban community in New Jersey where she is bullied in school and deals with crushes and rejection along with family problems such as having inattentive parents, sibling rivalry, and the kidnapping of her sister.

Don’t trip people. It’s a black comedy. We don’t support Myspace bullying here (sick, sick bitch).

Dawn was definitely the original Napoleon Dynamite. In the clip, watch as she tries to get her man Steve, only to be shot down by a lolita in a crop top.

Priceless.

Project Runway-Episode 3: “Asians Are Fierce”

project-runway-workroom-ep2p3.jpg In lasts night episode of Project Runway, the contestants had to make a suit for former the former NY Giants running-back, Tiki Barber. Yes, I think he is fine too! The contestant with the winning design would see their design on the NBC’s The Today Show, since Mr. Barber is a correspondent.

He tells the contestants how hard it is to find suits that fit him because of weird body proportions due to years of roids intense workouts, which freaks a few people out because only a handful of them have ever worked with menswear.

Yup, there was a bit of drama last night.

Tiki’s wife came in to the work room with Tim Gunn wearing a fabulous Versace dress, to see how well the fashion slaves were coming along with her man’s outfit.

I’m assuming she was nervous, because she came off really cold,…..and dare I say it, maybe even a little rude? Anyways, she left pretty unimpressed and just before Carmen and Ricky got into a catfight!

Conveniently, they were in the bottom two this week and Carmen was sent home packing.

Oh yea, Jack revealed that he has been living with HIV for 15 years now and he was the one who won tonight’s challenge!

The producers are so clever…

Sock It To Me

marcjacobs.jpgmj5.jpg

We have a massive crush on Marc Jacobs.

We love the man’s jelly flats, the printed dresses, and the mini TV with Sponge Bob on its screen. But this bizzare suede sock bootie? Um, not so much.

Shopbop says they love these shoe because it makes the “socks-with-flats” look they love more easy to attain. Personally, we haven’t worn socks with flats since we were in kindergarten and it was apart of our uniforms, so it’s hard for us to imagine any grown woman walking around with this odd combo on.

It looks like something more suited for a grandmother who wants to jazz up her typical sock and house slipper wardrobe, not a twenty year old in her prime.

Marc offers a few other sock shoe combos like this, but they come in platforms instead of flats.

It’s not that we hate the shoe, it’s just really really odd to us. Kind of like wearing socks with sandals.

Honestly, have we become so lazy that we actually have to have our socks sewn into our shoes?

This week, we’re taking a break from streetwear, so we can introduce you all to one of our favorite new accessory designers, Antoinette Lee. Miss Lee offers a very chic and affordable line of clutches, totes, and hobos. Each handbag is crafted in New York with careful detail and workmanship. So, everybody gets a piece of luxury without having to break the bank. How fabulous is that?

1. What’s your biggest self-indulgence?

I would definitely have to say a hot bubble bath!

2. Fill in the blank: As a kid, I thought I would grow up to be a designer, or involved in something creative.

3. What has been inspiring you lately?

Autumn is my favorite season, which has been one of my inspirations for initial ideas of my Fall 2008 line. Also my everyday experiences of life in New York City are always a constant inspiration.

4. What are you working on right now?

Right now I have just debuted my Spring 2008 line, which I love! This season I introduced two new styles, and added special touches to every bag; such as new striped linings. Also each handbag now comes with its very own Antoinette Lee Design’s dustbag. Can’t wait for you to see the line, be sure to keep an eye out for it!

PS: The fifth question has kind of disappeared, so I thought I would end this with a little handbag trivia:

It takes between 18 to 25 hours for artisians to create the super-luxurious Hermes Birkin bag. Also, the Paris workrooms produce only five Birkins per week, which then are supplied world wide.

No wonder those wait lists are so long.
