New York is getting laid
If it at all possible, you should never try to hate someone. Allowing someone or something to have that much control over you never tends to be good. But if there were one person worthy of throwing salt on right now, it would definitely have to be New York.
Not only do they get the Gap x Colette pop-up shop and Topshop flagship this fall, but also Aloha Rag, the Hawaiian boutique that plays host to designers like Pierre Hardy, Comme des Garcons, and Jil Sander.
Located at 505 Greenwich Street, the 2,000 sq. ft. shop promises to consistently roll out new collections and limited edition collaborations at their new space.
Meanwhile, the store has a bunch of Elizabeth & James pieces on sale right now. And, admit it, you’ve wanted to look an Olsen at least one time in your life.

When the designers went to Texas
Dallas residents, the fashion is coming to you this fall.
NorthPark Center will play host to a make shift fashion week in Texas from October 10th to 16th. However, if you’re thinking it will be anything like what LA or Miami does, think again. There will be no Pinkberry to go along with the parade of mediacore swimsuits and jersey dresses.
Fashion stars like Rodarte, Roberto Cavalli, Peter Som, and Georgina Chapman will be showing mini versions of their runway productions in Dallas, amongst other really important designers.
Tickets for the event go on sale starting August 8th and anybody with a love for fashion is invited. So if you’ve always wanted sit in the front row, you can invariably do so. Editors take that!
If I were in Dallas during this time, I would definitely swing by. If only because you get to see the unreal designs of the Mulleavy sisters in person.

We just got a look of the contestants on Monday and there are practically no billboards up promoting the show either. Well, blame it on Bravo. [EW]
